How it works
The card is not an impression of Messenger — it is the same component the product's own composer draws, so the fold, the media crop and the action row are the ones a real post gets. Only the things a draft cannot have are yours to fill in: the name, the face, the tick, the age and the counts.
Both pictures are turned into data the moment you choose them and drawn straight into the card. There is no server behind this page, so nothing is uploaded, and the export has nothing to fetch.
The preview and the export are the same element. Nothing is added, hidden or swapped at download time, which is why the PNG cannot disagree with what you are looking at — the only thing the size control changes is resolution.
Every export carries a small mark saying it is a mockup. It is there because a pixel-accurate card with somebody else's name on it is a different object from a preview of your own post, and this tool is only meant to be the second one.

Can I use this to fake a screenshot?
Not convincingly, and deliberately so. Every export carries a small mark saying it is a mockup, and the card is drawn to each network’s layout rather than screenshotted from it, so it will not survive a careful look. It is built for showing your own post in a deck, a newsletter or a landing page — not for putting words in somebody else’s mouth.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. It is decoded and drawn into the card inside this tab. These pages are static files with no server behind them, so there is no endpoint the picture could reach even in principle.
Why does the card not match my Messenger feed exactly?
Because it is drawn to Messenger’s layout rather than copied from a screenshot — the same component the product’s composer uses. Networks also change their chrome every few months. The shapes that matter for a draft are right: where the text folds, how the picture is cropped, what the action row does to the space.
What happens to the text I paste in?
Nothing. There is no server behind these pages — the tool is JavaScript running in your tab, so what you type stays in the browser and is never sent anywhere, by us or by anyone else.
Is it really free, and is there a catch?
Free, with no sign-up, no limit and no watermark. These tools cost us nothing to run because they run on your computer rather than ours. We build them because the people who need them are the people who might eventually want the product they sit next to — that is the whole arrangement, and it does not require anything from you.
