Instagram Post Splitter

Turn something too long into Instagram posts that each fit, split at sentences rather than mid-word.

Free, no sign-up, and it runs entirely in your browser. Limits checked 2026-08-31.

How it works

Your text is cut at the strongest seam that still fits: a blank line first, then the end of a sentence, then a word boundary. A run of characters with no space in it — a URL, usually — is treated as one unit and never cut, so links survive.

Each part is measured with Instagram's own counting rule rather than with a character count, so a part that fits here fits there.

The numbering is measured rather than estimated. How much room "(3/12)" takes depends on how many parts there are, which depends on how much room the numbering left — so the split is recomputed until the two agree. Reserving a guessed amount is how these tools produce a last part that is four characters over.

Questions

Will it break a link across two posts?

No. A run of characters with no whitespace in it is treated as one unit, so a URL is either wholly in a part or wholly in the next one. The only case where anything is cut mid-token is a single unbroken run longer than the entire limit, which has nowhere else to go.

What happens to the text I paste in?

Nothing. There is no server behind these pages — the tool is JavaScript running in your tab, so what you type stays in the browser and is never sent anywhere, by us or by anyone else.

Is it really free, and is there a catch?

Free, with no sign-up, no limit and no watermark. These tools cost us nothing to run because they run on your computer rather than ours. We build them because the people who need them are the people who might eventually want the product they sit next to — that is the whole arrangement, and it does not require anything from you.

Plan it once, ship it everywhere.

Splitting one long post is a minute's work. Turning a paragraph of brief into ninety days of scheduled posts, each one already the right length for the channel it is going to, is what Influenar is for.
